Balreed Bristol's Sponsorship Success

Staff at Bristol Golf Club and members of The Professional Golfing Association both praised Balreed’s headline sponsorship of the Pro-Am tournament on Wednesday 14th September which saw 100 golfers descend upon the Almondsbury-based course.

75 amateurs and 25 professionals, a mixture of both members and non-members, took part in what was being billed as the ‘Best Ever Pro-Am Tournament’.

Balreed General Manager Sammy Stewart said: “The pro-am tournament was a fantastic event for the region. It was enjoyed by amateurs and professionals and it was great to be able to support a local business.”

Players enjoyed a lunch before they made their way to the championship 18-hole course. The day finished with an award ceremony in which Balreed’s team, led by Bristol salesperson John Norris scooped third place.

Bristol Golf Club Manager, Ben Laing said: “The day was a great success. I would go so far as to say that it was our best ever Pro-Am tournament. I'd like to thank Balreed for their generous sponsorship, it made a great difference to the day. We would very much like to continue our association with them, and hope to lay on an equally successful event with them in 2012."
