Balreed (UK) Limited is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our sites, our customer sites and through our supply chain. We will achieve this by providing technology and services which increase efficiency and minimise the environmental impact of their print and document activities.

We recognise our responsibility to manage and minimise the environmental impact of our activities. This responsibility extends to minimising the usage of resources and effects of waste products, and to providing a healthy and safe working environment for employees.

Our environmental objectives reflect two key areas: environments within our direct control or influence, and those into which we provide solutions which our clients operate.

By managing Balreed’s consumption of non-renewable resources and controlling the impact of the waste stream through recycling and reuse, Balreed demonstrates a caring and measurable approach to sustainable activity.

This commitment is reflected in the services we provide to our customers, the conditions our employees work under and our interactions with the local community and the environment.

The Board of Directors have defined the environmental policy and are committed to:

• Providing technology and services which increase efficiency and minimise the environmental impact of their print and document activities
• Comply with all applicable environmental legislation with an aim of exceeding compliance wherever practical and possible
• Prevention of pollution in all its forms
• Conservation of natural resources, including energy, through source reduction, reuse and recycling wherever practicable
• Conformance with Environment Agency Licences
• Continual environmental performance improvement through the involvement of all employees and local communities

The environmental management system incorporated by Balreed has been externally assessed and certified to ISO 14001:2004 and our environmental objectives and targets are designed to continually improve our environmental performance.
