Beanprint.com really is a unique new start up, offering radically different services in the ultra-competitive, commercial printing business.
The new web-based business which is only 6 months old, integrates the internet with the latest digital printing press technology, allowing users themselves to design their promotional material online. This unique approach makes very low quantity print runs possible whilst achieving high-end production results at substantially reduced costs. The service includes complete fulfilment from order to delivery with a remarkably quick turnaround, products ordered before 2pm will be dispatched that day, orders made after this time will be dispatched the following day.
The Problem
“Beanprint.com's complete end-to-end service at very low operational costs with same same-day turnaround is only made possible by our own unique and bespoke web-to-print interface which we developed in house” explains Chris Chedgzoy, owner and founder. “It allows the whole process from order to dispatch to be seamless whilst keeping production staffing costs to a minimum, but the digital print engine we rely upon for production is critical to our success.”
“We need the very best of the latest digital printing press technology to be able to deliver high quality products on time. Unfortunately we learned from bitter experience that an unreliable service provider can jeopardise the whole business. Early on we found ourselves in an untenable position with a supplier who ultimately didn’t have the ability to deliver the level of support we needed which is why we chose to terminate our previous contract and find a new partner we could rely upon.”

It’s particularly good on heavier stocks and gives us near photo-quality output which is just what we need as a lot of our clients are photographers.”

Beanprint.com has grown rapidly since start-up and last month hit the major milestone of a million business cards sales just two months after launching the service with their new online business card editor. “Sales growth has been phenomenal” says Chris. 'We hoped our new editor would go down well with our customers but we've been taken aback by how quickly it has grown, and it looks like continuing simply by recommendations alone.
